Our Story
Stitch was founded in 2008 by Beverley Ozard, a passionate sewing specialist wishing to share her skills, love for fabrics and yarn, current styles and love of teaching. All this is poured into each course or piece of advice she gives.
Qualified textiles teacher
Beverley began her journey by learning to knit at the age of 5. She then went on to create her very own knitting patterns for others at young age of 12. Her passion for knitting and sewing grew as her skills progressed and she later decided to attend Cauldon College where she studied fashion design.
The making of Stitch
After advancing her talents in the areas of knitting, Beverley decided to spread her love of creativity by beginning teaching in a local high school. Following this, she finally followed her dreams and opened a shop of her own selling yarns, hosting creative workshops and spreading her contagious love of art throughout her first store in Nantwich
You’ll now be able to walk into Stitch on Tarporley High Street and find Beverley creating her latest pattern or chatting to other follow creatives, why not pop into the creative cove today and see what you’ll be able to discover?
Our Products
Our aim is to have a world of inspiration under one roof. You’ll find examples of projects alongside everything you need to knit a teddy, crochet a blanket, and even workshop make your own clothes.
Our yarns have been handpicked for their quality and natural fibres from trusted brands like Rowan, West Yorkshire Spinners and Wool and The Gang. They sit alongside beautiful gifts, handmade jumpers, beautiful fabrics, patterns for all skill levels and every day sewing essentials.
If you’re someone that has an appreciation for quality and clothes that last a lifetime then you’ll love our one-of-a-kind handmade jumpers, made by Beverley herself.

Sustainability
In a world that is smothered with mass produced goods that impact our environment, we share a vision of individually made items using natural fibers and crafting traditions, made to last with thought and love.
For each of our suppliers, we make sure that they are working towards a minimal environmental impact and good are made in the UK and Ireland wherever possible to keep our carbon footprint down. Where that’s not possible we strive to use suppliers that produce in Europe.
Campaign for Wool
Stitch is an official supporter of Prince Charles’ Campaign for Wool. Pick up more information in store on how we’re helping make the world more sustainable one hank at a time.
